Queer Family is a community-based peer-led organisation in Mullumbimby, NSW. Queer Family hosts Young Queerios, a space for Queer and Questioning youth to connect, have fun and build community in a safe and affirming environment. Expect art, games, projects, snacks, chats, and good vibes. These are free events for LGBTQ+ youth aged 12-18 (sometimes up to 24). Young Queerios is held during school terms with occasional special school holiday programs.
Sprouts is an exciting new program designed especially for kids aged 8-12 who are Queer or Questioning, along with their parents and carers. Sprouts is a unique and vibrant space where LGBTQ+ kidlets and their families can come together, connect, and celebrate their identities in a supportive and affirming environment. Sprouts is a monthly Saturday meetup full of fun and engaging activities.
