The Gender Diversity Service (GDS) located at Perth Children's Hospital is a specialist outpatient service for the assessment and care of children and adolescents experiencing gender diversity issues. The GDS works with young people up to the age of 18.
Rainbow Community House is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to prevent suicide among LGBTQIA+ young people aged between 12 to 25. Their therapists provide tailored gender-affirming counselling sessions for individuals and families to improve the mental, emotional, and relational wellbeing of queer young people and ultimately prevent suicide and self-harm risks.
Provides an evidence-based service to trans and gender diverse young people aged between 10-23 years. Therapy is tailored to the individual’s needs and will always include input from an experienced (Clinical) Psychologist. If appropriate, occupational therapy and/or physiotherapy input can be added also. All staff working in the gender diversity clinic are LGBTIQA+ affirmative.
The Gender Centre is committed to developing and providing services and activities, which enhance the ability of transgender, gender diverse and gender exploring people make informed choices. Offers services such as information, counselling, family support, speech pathology, housing support and school support. Operates under the John Hunter Children’s Hospital located in Newcastle, Maple Leaf House has opened in Newcastle, it is a specialist, multidisciplinary service for gender diverse children and young people aged ≤ 24 years.
The Centre for Adolescent and Young Adult Health (CAYAH), Westmead Hospital, Westmead (NSW)
A specialist multidisciplinary adolescent team for young people aged between 14 years and 9 months and 18 years old with gender dysphoria.
The Gender Service provides a family-centred multidisciplinary approach to assessment and support for trans, gender diverse and non-binary children aged 3 to 17 and their families.
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Gender Service aims to improve the physical and mental health outcomes of children and adolescents who are trans or gender diverse. Able to assist children and adolescents up to age 16.
Trans Space is a private mental health service that provides trans affirmative counselling to trans & gender diverse (TGD) people and their families using the informed consent model. Mental health therapists consist of a team of psychologists experienced in working with TGD people and TGD mental health therapists with lived-experience.
TG Health Clinic provides healthcare support and advice to empower transgender and gender diverse people, including young people, to be the best version of themselves they can be.
Queensland Gender Service, South Brisbane (QLD)
The Queensland Children’s Gender Service (QCGS) located at Queensland Children's Hospital is the state-wide specialist outpatient service for the assessment and care of children and adolescents questioning gender identity or experiencing gender incongruence. The QCGS supports young people up to the age of 17 and their families.
The Women's and Children's Hospital Gender Diversity medical support and mental health teams aim to improve the health, wellbeing and function of gender diverse South Australian children and young people. Provides care for children and young people up to 17 years old.
Tasmanian Gender Service (TGS) is a specialised service that offers help for children, young people and their families living in Tasmania who are experiencing gender-related issues.Provides care for youth up to 17 years old.
Visiting doctors specialising in LGBTIQA+ health provide regular clinics on a fortnightly to monthly basis to offer welcoming, high-quality healthcare to members of the LGBTIQA+ communities.
