Neurodivergence & Gender Diversity

The term neurodivergent refers to people whose neurocognitive functioning differs from the majority. This includes neurotypes such as Autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Tourette’s syndrome, dyslexia, dyspraxia, giftedness, and intellectual disability. Research has indicated that trans and gender diverse people are significantly more likely to be neurodivergent than cisgender people. Here are some resources you may find helpful if your child is both neurodivergent and gender diverse.
